Stephen Taeusch


Stephen Taeusch represents clients in state and federal courts in a wide variety of employment-related matters, including wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, unfair business practices, and retaliation matters in single and multi-plaintiff litigation. Stephen also has extensive class, representative, and collective action experience in the wage and hour context and has helped employers in a variety of industries defeat class certification bids and defend their victories through the appeals process.

In addition to his litigation work, Stephen counsels clients through the range of issues affecting the employment relationship, including worker classification, executive compensation, leaves of absence, harassment and discrimination investigations, in addition to the variety of specialized employment issues that arise in the context of mergers and acquisitions.

Practice included all aspects of employment litigation including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour law, class and representative actions, employee mobility and restrictive covenants and trade secrets and other proprietary information issues. Regularly provided counseling in all areas of employment law.

Valdez Law Group LLP, (Attorney) (2015-2016)

Practice focused on federal and state court litigation in complex wage and hour litigation including claims of off-the-clock work and meal and rest period violations. Also counseled clients on litigation avoidance strategies and represented companies and executives in the negotiation and drafting of employment agreements.

Represented companies and individual defendants in class and representative actions and single plaintiff lawsuits alleging a wide variety of employment-related issues, including wage and hour violations, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
